Sunday 23rd April saw the first meeting of our Admission to Communion, and Confirmation Courses.

Pippa and I welcomed the group of 6 children to the Vicarage at 3pm, to discuss Holy Communion, and what it means to receive the bread and wine. And the children were full of interesting thoughts and ideas.

Then at 4pm we said goodbye to the children, and welcomed the group of 9 young people who are preparing for Confirmation next month. We talked about our ‘journeys of faith’ so far, and found we had many experiences in common. We also found that almost everyone in the group is musical – and we’re considering putting together our own Music Group for the Confirmation Service!

Both Admission to Communion, and Confirmation take place on Ascension Day – 25th May, at 7.30pm. Bishop Jo Bailey Wells will be coming to take the service; and I’m sure it will be a high point of our ’50 Days for 50 Years’. Please do come and join us.
